Our Statement

Jackson Hole for Palestine is a grassroots coalition of Jackson Hole and Teton Valley residents who support the liberation of Palestinians and advocate against the conflation of Judaism and Zionism. Our coalition represents an intersectional community, including members who identify as Jewish, Atheist, Agnostic, Christian, Palestinian, Indigenous, BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, gender non-conforming, disabled, and economically disadvantaged. We stand firmly against the atrocities committed by Israel against the Palestinian people in the name of Judaism, actions which have been fully funded by our U.S. taxes.

Our immediate demands include a permanent and immediate ceasefire in Gaza (Israel has broken the ceasefire by killing nearly 100 and wounded over 230 Palestinians since the October 10th ceasefire, updated October 20th 2025), lifting the siege on Gaza, and allowing unrestricted humanitarian aid into Gaza. Our long-term demands are as follows: ending the military occupation of Palestine, putting an end to the apartheid state where Palestinians are treated as second-class citizens, establishing free and fair elections for both Israelis and Palestinians, passing a Right of Return Law that enables Palestinians of the Diaspora to return, and providing financial reparations to Palestinians.

Founders of Jackson Hole for Palestine, Joni Gore and Dan Sheehan, discuss their work organizing for Palestine on a StoryCorps interview. The founders discuss their philosophy around the urgency of the current genocide in Gaza and the importance of their activism in Wyoming. They also share the role of their identities, growth through the past two years, and reflections on how people can collectively create safety and liberation for everyone.
